Famed in Europe for being the only two Swedish clubs to have reached the final of European Cup (UEFA Cup – Göteborg Champions 1981&1986, Malmö runners-up 1978), the two most successful Swedish clubs prepare to lock horns tonight in the clash of champions.

The two teams last met in the Svenska Cupen quarterfinal in March, with Malmö using their home advantage to edge out 1-0 in a tensely–fought match. They will be keen to ensure that they produce the same sort of performance as they seek to stay in touching distance of AIK and Hammarby at the top of the tree.
